PETERSBURG, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of two Franklin Pierce Ravens to the 2008 roster. Franklin Pierce is a NCAA Division II program in Rindge, N.H.  The Ravens are a member of the Northeast – 10 Conference that uses wood bats during conference play.  Franklin Pierce and the Generals have had a good relationship over the years with Mike Chambers (’05), Elliot Shea (’05), and Vinny Pennell (’06).

PETERSBURG, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of four student-athletes with high school ties to the Richmond/Tri-Cities area.  With players coming from all across the country to play in Petersburg, the local players have several advantages, including, familiarity with the area and more importantly the ability to live at home.

Petersburg, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of a Princeton University Tiger, Daniel Barnes, to the roster.  Barnes, 6-1, 190, is a freshman right-handed pitcher from Manhasset, NY.  In high school, Barnes, was a four-year letter winner for baseball while posting an 8-1 record as a senior, with a 0.80 ERA and 103 strikeouts in 58 innings of work.

Petersburg, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of two Duquesne University Dukes to the roster.  Duquesne University is a NCAA Division I program located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that competes in the Atlantic-10 Conference.  The Dukes have started off the season with a record of 6-10 with playing three top 25 programs such as Florida State, LSU, and South Carolina.
