Thundering Herd, Kevin Shackelford, will be added to the roster. Shackelford, 6-5, 190, is a freshman catcher who resides in Charlotte,
N.C. In high school Kevin was named the Perfect Game Top Prospect.

PETERSBURG, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of two Franklin Pierce Ravens to the 2008 roster. Franklin Pierce is a NCAA Division II program in Rindge, N.H. The
Ravens are a member of the Northeast – 10 Conference that uses wood
bats during conference play. Franklin Pierce and the Generals have had
a good relationship over the years with Mike Chambers (’05), Elliot
Shea (’05), and Vinny Pennell (’06).

Petersburg, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of a Princeton University Tiger, Daniel Barnes, to the roster. Barnes, 6-1, 190, is a freshman right-handed pitcher from Manhasset,
NY. In high school, Barnes, was a four-year letter winner for baseball
while posting an 8-1 record as a senior, with a 0.80 ERA and 103
strikeouts in 58 innings of work.

Petersburg, VA – The Petersburg Generals have announced the signing of two Duquesne University Dukes to the roster. Duquesne University is a NCAA Division I program located in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania that competes in the Atlantic-10 Conference. The Dukes
have started off the season with a record of 6-10 with playing three
top 25 programs such as Florida State, LSU, and South Carolina.
